January 29 I went to Djursholm for a intimate and sunny winter wedding. I started to shoot the preparations in Helene and Andreas beautiful home and before the ceremony we went out in the cold weather to shoot some photos in the sunset. The weather was just as beautiful as the ceremony in Djursholms kapell. The former winner of the Swedish Idol Daniel Lindström surprised the bride and sang his winning song ”Coming true” in a acoustical version. The entire thing was carefully arranged by the groom and I think all the guest including the bride will remember this especially. It all started with Andreas singing the first part of the song and then Daniel Lindström made the entrance. You should have seen the brides face and all the guests when the groom was faking it! The dinner took place at Grand Hotel in central Stockholm.

Jessica and Hans got married in Lidingö kyrka. Their priest was Hans dad and it turned out to be an intimate and emotional ceremony. Before the ceremony I photographed Jessica and Hans portrait session on a remote part of Lidingö. I tried to combine a more elfin theme (that had inspired the bridal couple from a previous shoot), with the autumn leafs. The reception was held at Operaterassen that made a unique setting and a great view over central Stockholm. I left home teary-eyed after receiving some emotional and personal words from Jessica and Hans, feeling like the happiest photographer in the world.

Whilst driving back home after Ulrika and Emil’s small and intimate wedding in Öregrund I felt so lucky. The love and energy that were present during their special day had touched me immensely.

Ulrika and Emil chose to have the wedding in Öregrund since they had a beautiful moment there together in the beginning of their relationship. I can understand why – It’s a picturesque summer village situated by the water. Ulrika and Emil met on the internet and today they live in Uppsala with their two adorable sons. I felt very honored to be a part of their day, especially since it was such a small wedding with only 10 invited guests, but also because they were a friendly, open minded and loving couple, full of energy.

It was a snowy winterland when Anna and Henning got married in Stockholm February 13. I was happy that they thought that outdoor photos were important for them, even if it’s a bit more tricky this time of the year. We also planned some time at Skridskopaviljongen since it was quite cold. That place made a beautiful setting to their wedding that was celebrated at newly opened Hotel Skeppsholmen.

Thomas and Marie had a rainy day October 3 when they celebrated at Rockelstads slott, a small castle near Sparreholm in Södermanland. Dispite the weather we went outdoors for some portraits. Marie’s dress and Thomas jacket was so wet but they didn’t complain at all, instead they were relaxed and laughed a lot. It was both rainy and cold and Marie thought that I didn’t have enough clothes on me, so she borrowed me her scarf. They were both so kind and genuine. Their color went in pink, orange and purple and Marie was dressed in the coolest shoes ever. The beautiful bouquet was made by herself. Thanks to my assistant Helene who held an umbrella over me while shooting, and also a thanks to the bestman and the bridesmaid who made this shoot fun!
