A night at the Opera, by Juliana WIklund/morethanwords.se

When Caroline and Sverker met me for the first time, we were going to take their engagement portrait, to be put into their wedding announcement. We had a chance to talk, get to know each other, and I got to see that with them, I didn’t need to do anything to get good pictures. I should just keep my eyes open and capture ”moments”.

Just my cup of tea!

I followed them up and down through the stairs of Stockholm’s Royal Opera, I hid under the piano while the tenor sang pieces from Carmen of Bizet and Don Giovanni of Mozart, I run around the Modern Museum to capture every single moment of their wonderful day.

And so it was the whole Saturday. More pictures you can see at our blog www.morethanwords.se/blog

Photographer note: great to have had the new 14mm with me. Very sharp and great for wide angle shots, when you want to show the whole scene setting.

All the shots in the opera taken without a Flash, using 6400 ISO from the new 5D, Mark II.
